The minor seminary San José, was founded by Monsignor Angel Cuniberti on March 19th in1965 in commemoration of San José Festival. the minor seminary was created with the goal of having a hotbed of priests from Caqueta. The first rector was the father Bruno Kumer and the vice rector was Bruno P. Lepier. On April 1st of that year, 39 students arrived the first seminarians from vocational schools Juan Bautista Migani and La Salle. The people in charge of the construction of these facilities were the fathers Ezio Ssoma Dosse and  Juan Viessi. Currently, this building works as the minor seminary San Jose and the major Diocesan Seminary San Jose.
